Welcome to HCL Nutrition!
I have been working in the field of nutrition for nearly a decade and am passionate about evidence based nutrition, and promoting a healthier food environment.
Qualifications & Experience
I have an undergraduate degree in Physiology and a Masters degree in Human Nutrition Science from The University of Aberdeen. In addition to this I completed a 3 year specialism in public health via the Association for Nutrition in order to transfer to the title ‘Registered Nutritionist’. As part of my registration I am required to demonstrate 30 hours of CPD each year and am subject to an audit process to ensure evidence based practice.
I have done a wide range of additional training including Nutrition and Menopause, Intuitive and Mindful Eating Practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Challenging Ideas in Mental Health, Community Led Health and Health Issues in the Community.
My experience includes implementation of government policy in schools, writing national policy, nutrition analysis, meal plans, 1-1 consultations, leading on staff wellbeing initiatives, project management of health improvement projects, writing, staff training and nutrition education.
What I Do?
I work with organisations, schools and individuals to provide expertise on nutrition. This involves delivering talks, consultancy and developing content and materials. In addition to this I offer a 1-1 service. My services bridge together my knowledge of human physiology and nutrition science, with my experience of working in health improvement.
